As Convenience Food Store (CFS) Category Management Lead, you will be responsible for leading the shop category management team to develop and implement category management plans across the entire store to drive sales and integrated margin growth. In this leadership position, you will have responsibility to lead, support, and develop a team of new and experienced Category Managers to drive strong performance and support their growth into future positions.

You will make a fundamental contribution to the development of the Mobility (Retail) Canada strategy. This role will require supporting this transformation and ensuring a team of category managers is ready to drive the benefits of focusing on integrated margin, product management cycles, and optimizing the delivery of the 4 Ps (promotion, placement, product, and price).

Accountabilities:

- Develop and support overall category strategies in line with Mobility direction and Convenience Retailing strategy
- Revolutionize the business strategy focused on controlling 4Ps & inventory management
- Develop high level relationships and support category managers in their negotiation of trading terms with leading manufacturers
- Collaborate with Contracting and Procurement in identifying synergy opportunities and incremental value to the business
- Work with Sales and Ops team to ensure ambitious retail plans can be well executed onsite
- Support the achievement of the agreed-upon Targets and Resources Plan (T&R) - financial and HSSE targets
- Lead the team to home delivery success and deliver the private label deployment plan

**Skills & Requirements**
- Minimum of 8+ years’ work experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Experience on Category Management with major retailing or supplier
- Team leadership experience: Proven track record of fostering a positive and productive team environment while driving results
- Evidence of strong leadership attributes (Authenticity, Collaboration, Performance, Growth) and adherence to core values (Honesty, Integrity, Respect for People)
- Strong understanding of retail fundamentals of buying, assorting, placement, merchandising and convenience retail operational processes with a mastery level of pricing architecture & integrated margin
- Proven record with negotiation skills and building strong suppliers’ relationship
- Self-starter and results oriented. Strong past performance and track record for delivery and commercial acumen
- Must have legal authorization to work in the Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Experience in products & brand developments and successful deployment to market
