**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Oversee smaller functions and assigned associates, as well as assist with the general operation of the floor during slower periods.
- Oversee the food and beverage service team and coordinate their efforts in an effective manner.
- Control flow of all beverages, including alcoholic beverages as well as accurately inventorying function beverages, issuing consumption sheets for all bars.
- Establish procedures and coordinate activities with other work units or departments.
- Ensure proper handling as well as cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment, i.e. tools, glassware etc. and ensuring proper storage after use.
- Coordinate and assign set up, servicing and tear down duties for food and beverage functions.
- Serving food and beverage items in accordance to all laws, and ensuring that all Food Safe rules are met.
- Must ensure adherence to all provincial and federal rules, including Serving It Right.
- Clearing tables, banquet areas and returning equipment to their respective areas.
- Gather all equipment necessary to set up service a function and maintain a clear and immaculate service corridor.
- Resolve work related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports to Management as assigned.
- Resolve Guests complaints and inform supervisor of any issues.
- Prepare drinks for guests and servers, according to hotel procedures.
- Support recruitment and train associates on job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
- Participate in estimating work schedule needs and procedures and coordinate activities with other work units or departments.
- Control and conduct monthly inventory and beverage stock.
- Ensure that all needed supplies and material are on hand and fill out a requisition form whenever needed.
- Ensure smooth operation of all systems, equipment, and arrange for maintenance and repair work to take place whenever needed.
- Monitor quality and production levels of food and beverages.
- May perform other duties as assigned, the same duties as workers supervised: servers, cashiers and bartenders.
- All other duties as assigned by the banquet management team.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must possess outstanding, pro-active guest service skills, a professional presentation and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous food and beverage experience in a high-volume establishment.
- Must have Serving it Right Certification
- Must have FoodSafe Leve 1 Certification
- Must be flexible to work varying schedules, including late nights and early morning shifts.
- A good physical condition, as this position requires constant walking, standing, bending, carrying, and lifting.
- Must possess strong food, beverage, and wine knowledge.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and have a sales-oriented personality.
- Work well under pressure and as part of a professional team.
- Must be fluent in English, a second language is an asset.
