We are currently recruiting for a HACCP / IFS / BRC Coordinator on a full-time permanent basis. The role will be based in Bradford, Ontario.

This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, dependable, and multitasking skills who can work quickly under pressure and in a demanding and fast-paced environment. All the duties are performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP standards and Standards of Health and Safety in the workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is primarily responsible for the overall implementation and maintenance of the current GMP/HACCP program and working towards the implementation of other third-party certification programs such as IFS PACsecure and SQF:

- Managing the current Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Program, including on-site observations, third-party and internal audits, verification of documents, updates for new products/processes, annual training of all employees and completing an annual reassessment to ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintaining and updating all food-safety related standard operating procedures and company policies
- Auditing facility processes to make sure that all employees are compliant with the food-safety programs
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reports in support of Vins Plastics’ food-safety programs
- Ensure proper documentation procedures are in place
- Develops matrix and provides food safety and GMP training to all employees
- Participating in internal and external quality audits and providing feedback on any issues and recommended corrective actions/preventative measures
- Implementing approved recommended improvements
- Identifying actual and potential food-safety issues. Conducting incident investigations where food safety or quality may be compromised
- Work with the Department Managers and Plant Manager to lead the execution of a food safety culture
- Perform internal audits, identify areas of improvement and oversee their implementation prior to third party certification audit
- Prepare for third party certification audit
- Perform other related tasks as assigned

In addition, the position has the following responsibilities:

- Lead Vins Plastics’ efforts to obtain other third-party certification programs, as required (IFS PACsecure and SQF).
- Work closely with plant staff, third party consultants and certification bodies to ensure IFS PACsecure certification by Q4 2023

**Requirements**:

- In depth knowledge of HACCP, IFS PACsecure, SQF and other third-party food safety certification programs
- Minimum of 5 years of operational experience working in quality assurance and/or HACCP/IFS/SQF ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree related to Food Safety, Food Science, Biological Sciences, Microbiology or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading change at the plant level
- Track record of working effectively with Executive Teams, Quality Manager, Plant Manager and operational staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make risk-informed decisions under pressure and handle conflicts
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
- Ability to relate technical knowledge to solve complex testing and process issues
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive and firm-but-friendly disposition
- Demonstrated ability to accept accountability and to work individually and part as a team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel if required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
