Langford, Canada Victoria Contracting & Municipal Maintenance Corporation Full time

Victoria Contracting & Municipal Maintenance is a privately-owned company that specializes in providing privatized Public Works Services including Municipal Landscape, Roads Maintenance and Landscape Services, to our valued clients. As the Operations Manager you will report directly to the General Manager and your main responsibility will be to ensure the seamless execution of daily operations. Additionally, you will oversee operational activities throughout all levels of the organization.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and ensure the success of work plans and the completion of contract work orders, outside sales contracts, and client satisfaction.
- Implement policies and procedures for operations to ensure the corporate objectives are met.
- Provide clear direction to staff and distribute workload appropriately to ensure all expectations are consistently met.
- Identify where efficiencies/innovations can be introduced that aid in the cost effectiveness of the work.
- Work closely with other Operations Leaders to coordinate work to organize daily, monthly, and seasonal work plans and work assignments.
- Evaluate and forecast resources requirements to ensure that resources are secured and utilized efficiently and effectively.
- Leads, mentors, and develops team members, while leveraging individual and group strengths.
- Provide leadership and coaching to employees and teams.
- Respond to weather emergency events requiring road maintenance under adverse weather conditions at various times of day or night.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in operations management or a similar role, primarily in a civil construction or landscape construction/maintenance capacity.
- Strong leadership skills and previous success managing and developing teams.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
