Robertson Floors has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join our high performing team. For over 20 years, Robertson Floors has worked tirelessly to build strong, long standing relationships with clients, vendors, and employees. We are an incredibly diversified flooring contractor capable of handling all commercial and residential flooring components. We are focused in commercial, restaurant and retail construction, restoration and tenant improvement projects across BC and Alberta. Robertson Floors specializes in substrate preparation, tile & slab, hardwoods & laminates, carpets and resilient.

**Responsibilities**
- Performing cost estimating
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors/sub to reach profitable agreements
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Hire sub-contractors and other staffs and allocate responsibilities
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Cost reporting and financial projection
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

**Skills**
- Proven experience as construction project manager (over 3 years)
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field will be an advantage
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
- **Working conditions**_ you can expect while performing your role include:

- Working in an office and field environment.
- Working in operating plant facilities including refineries.
- Working to deadlines and in some high stress situations (i.e. collections and meeting deadlines).
- May be required to work outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet the needs of the business.
- On call for emergencies as needed.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
