Structured Cabling Technician

We are seeking a Field Technician to join our expanding team in Kingston, working at various customer sites across Kingston. This role will involve data cabling and termination, installation and replacement of Internet equipment (routers, switches, antennas, access points), as well as the troubleshooting and upgrades/maintenance of already-installed equipment.
**CANDIDATE MUST HAVE**:
- Positive attitude
- Good with your hands
- Good with tools
- Able to find creative solutions to solve them
- Able to work flexible hours and from different locations
- Patient, friendly and helpful when dealing with customers
- Enjoy the start-up environment (eg. not using the words "That's not in my job description")
- Driver's License with a clean, insurable record
**NOT NECESSARY BUT BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES**:
- Working with fibre optic cabling and/or coaxial cable
- Experience with Cat 6/5 cable and ends
- Working from heights training and certification
- Working in construction settings
- Own data cabling tools
- Familiarity with networking equipment and troubleshooting
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months
**Salary**: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
