**What You’ll Do**

Gyptech is seeking a **Mechanical Design Lead** to join our Mechanical Engineering Mill Team. Your role will involve:

- Leading the design, development, and implementation of our equipment and systems
- Creating and refining plant layouts in AutoCAD, and developing machine concepts and 3D designs in Autodesk Inventor, including system layouts for bulk material handling systems and the integration of Gyptech and vendor-supplied equipment
- Selecting purchased equipment based on design criteria and review of designs for accuracy
- Researching, analyzing and implementing requirements and technical specifications to meet end-user needs
- Creating and refining process flow diagrams for various bulk material handling processes, along with related equipment motor and device lists
- Interfacing with customers, vendors and managers to determine project scope, requirements, deliverables, budget, costing and schedules.
- Reviewing designs with our fabrication shops and others to ensure consistent design, fabrication and quality specifications.
- Providing onsite installation, troubleshooting, commissioning and maintenance support for our equipment and systems

This position is based out of our head office in Burlington with a requirement for regular international travel.

**What You Offer**
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions for bulk material handling systems in an industrial setting
- A graduate of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and experience
- Heavy machinery design, installation or maintenance would be an asset
- Fabrication or commissioning experience would be an asset
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Motivated team player with a focus on results
