This position helps provide and maintain facilities which give Church members places where they can work, worship, teach, learn, pray together, make and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances. Each Church facility that is built and/or maintained should 1) Provide a spiritual setting for members to worship, and 2) Present an image of reverence and dignity in the community. This position:

- Performs moderate to heavy custodial/grounds keeper duties.
- May be required to travel from building to building.
- Watches for safety and other hazards.

Ensure the temple grounds reflect the beauty, cleanliness and sacred nature of the temple experience.

**This is a temporary position starting in May ending in September.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Under the direction of the supervisor, completes assigned work,
- Assist in setting up rooms as requested.
- May clean chandeliers, fixtures, and wood paneling from ladders or scaffolding.
- Maintains facility grounds and environment is a clean, attractive, orderly, safe and healthy condition.
- Performs general grounds work that includes seeding, mowing, trimming, racking, weeding and planting flowers, trees, and shrubs.
- May perform minor maintenance on roads, curbs, sidewalks and storm drains
- Operate motorized equipment such as a walk behind snow blower, walk behind lawn mower, chain saw, vacuum, and buffer.
- See that assigned area is properly maintained according to set standards.
- Attend meetings as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- At least one year of custodial/grounds keeper or related work experience required.
- Must understand custodial procedures, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment such as: buffers, carpet cleaners, vacuums, snow removal equipment etc.
- Work with cleaning agents and chemicals with the use of rubber gloves, masks or other safety equipment.
- Able to lift and move 50 lbs.
- Understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety.
- Work in a team orientated work group.
