**PSYCHOLOGIST/PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSULTANT**

The Upper Grand District School Board's (UGDSB) 4,000 plus dedicated teaching and support staff provide student success to over 35,000 students who attend our 65 elementary schools and 11 secondary schools in the City of Guelph, County of Wellington and County of Dufferin. The Upper Grand District School Board is situated on the treaty lands of the Mississauga’s of the Credit and Saugeen Ojibway Nation, and Six Nations of the Grand River within The Haldimand Tract
- First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and all other Indigenous peoples

The Board invites qualified applicants for this **temporary** position to start as soon as possible, with an unknown end date not to exceed June 30, 2023, with the possibility to end earlier or extend beyond the anticipated date. This is a 10-month position (September - June).

**FTE/HOURS**:0.8 FTE; 28 hours per week; **temporary**

**LOCATION(S)**:Serving various school locations within the Dufferin Area

**SALARY GRID**:Standard Grid: $69,522 to $88,924 per annum (based on a full-time 35-hour per week position), plus applicable vacation pay

Qualified Ph.D. Grid: $73,134 to $92,623 per annum (based on a full-time 35- hour per week position), plus applicable vacation pay

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Psychological Services and the Superintendent of Education, Student Support Services this position assumes responsibility for providing comprehensive psychological assessments for elementary and secondary students, urgent need response, crisis response, violence threat response to schools, behavioural and mental health consultation, programming, community liaison and school team participation.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with children, the school team, families, special education support services and community agencies.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A thorough knowledge of assessment, diagnosis and intervention planning for learning disabilities, developmental disorders, behavioural problems, and relevant children’s mental health issues is vital
- Experience working for a school board or in children’s mental health is a definite asset
