**Job Title: Human Resources Manager**

**Reporting to: President of Propane and Shared Services**

Diversco is currently looking to fill a 12-month maternity leave contract role for a Human Resources Manager. This position deals with HR activities for 5 different Diversco locations, multiple different divisions, and a Federal and Provincial workforce. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the day to day Human resources functions and being a supportive resource for our leadership and management team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Full cycle recruitment for all divisions and locations (federal and provincial)
- Onboarding and New Hire Orientation
- Provide HR guidance to leadership and management teams
- Maintain HR programs, policies and procedures and update as necessary
- Communicate with employees regarding new initiatives, policy changes and company updates
- Train and coach managers to carry out HR responsibilities, including performance management, policy compliance, personnel issues and recruitment
- Update policies, manuals and documents to maintain compliance
- Monitor and address performance issues and process terminations as required
- Benefits administration (extended health and RRSP program)
- Oversee and manage the Performance Management process
- Maintain accurate job descriptions for current and new positions
- Reporting on HR metrics and present to leadership team
- Develop and implement measures to increase employee morale, motivation and satisfaction, while reducing turnover

**Requirements**:

- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, working towards your CHRP designation (CHRP designation would be considered an asset)
- 3 years or more of experience in a Human Resources Manager or Human Resources Business Partner role, possibly as a stand-alone HR professional in an entrepreneurial environment
- Passion for Human Resources with a strong desire to learn and willing to be coached
- Able to be empathetic and know when to take a firm approach
- Become an articulate spokesperson for our CARE values (see below)
- Ability to be agile in thinking and approach to issues
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
- Stellar written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a group setting
- Comfort and familiarity with HR software, solid computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills and social aptitude
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude
- Self-starter, able to work independently.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
