The land on which we at **EPTCON** Ltd work is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishnawbe, Haudenosaunee and Neutral Peoples. We are located on the Haldimand.

The Environmental Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the implementation and monitoring of environmental initiatives and programs for Cormorant’s construction projects and offices.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Supports Project Managers during the planning and construction phase of assigned projects;
- Recruits and mentors a team of Environmental Monitors when necessary;
- Advises on policies, procedures, legislation related to natural resources, land use, and environmental assessments (e.g., Fisheries Act, Species at Risk Act,, Environmental Assessment Act);
- Consults with specialists when required for permitting or other related construction issues;
- Assists construction activities in resolving environmental issues/non-compliance issues on projects as they arise;
- Provides guidance and ensures an appropriate level of environmental protection is in place to prevent or minimize project impacts on environmental resources;
- Prepares / reviews construction environmental inspection/monitoring reports and other related documents.
- Oversees and approves daily field monitoring reports, assisting with the development of weekly monitoring reports;
- Maintain positive relations with customers;
- Participates in project meetings as required;
- Adheres to all company policies, standards, procedures, and safe work practices; and,
- Provide Environmental Compliance training to new and returning staff during start up of projects;
- Work within a unionized environment;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:

- Post-secondary education (relevant university degree, diploma, or graduation from a technical program);
- 5+ years in an environmental role;
- Experience with construction projects would be considered an asset;
- Experience with the ISO 14001 framework would be an asset;
- High attention to detail;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Organized with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities to meet deadlines;
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites, which may include overnight stays for an extended period of time;
- Hold a valid driver’s license in good standing.
