Vehicle Field Inspector

Overview:
The primary responsibility of a Vehicle Inspector is to conduct a comprehensive inspection of assigned vehicles and generate a Condition Report (CR) that accurately reflects the vehicle’s condition. Assigned vehicles are typically located at dealerships but may occasionally be done at one of our facilities. This position requires a willingness to travel to perform responsibilities, a keen attention to detail as well as the ability to build strong relationships with customers. May perform other job-related activities as needed to support the business.

- Identifier, évaluer, et documenter les dommages structurels, la condition du châssis, l’état de la peinture retravaillée, l’alignement des panneaux latéraux du véhicule, détecter les pièces manquantes et les problèmes mécaniques, etc.
- Utiliser les meilleures pratiques de l’industrie tout en respectant les instructions et/ou procédures de gestion en ce qui concerne les inspections et la documentation.
- Développer de solides relations avec les clients par l’entremise d’interactions régulières pour répondre et dépasser leurs attentes.
- Garantir un niveau élevé de précision pour réduire l’arbitrage.
- Respecter les mesures de santé et sécurité connexes.
- Resituer, démarrer et déplacer les véhicules, le cas échéant.
- Effectuer les tâches diverses confiées.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct vehicle inspections at a variety of locations including dealerships, physical auctions, and off-site locations.
- Identify, assess, and document structural damage, frame condition, previous and substandard paintwork, alignment of vehicle body panels, detect missing parts and mechanical problems, etc.
- Utilize training and industry best practices while also adhering to management-provided work instructions and/or procedures regarding inspections and associated documentation.
- Develop strong relationships with customers through regular interaction to ensure we meet/exceed their expectations.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy to minimize arbitrations.
- Follow all applicable safety and health related procedures.
- May be required to locate, start, and move vehicles, if directed.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Vous avez besoin:
- Diplôme d’études secondaire ou équivalent (minimum).
- 1 à 3 années d’expérience dans l’industrie automobile (un atout).

- Conduire des véhicules à transmission automatique et manuelle.

What You Will Need:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ experience in the automotive industry preferred.
- Problem solving aptitude to meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovative approaches.
- Proven success to work independently with mínimal supervision while working in a team environment.
- Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Must be detail-oriented, ability to provide exceptional customer service and be dependable.

Working Conditions:
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions - position works both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel and stand for prolonged periods.
- Occasional exposure to loud noises, chemicals.
- Flexibility with your work schedule - may occasionally work overtime, including evenings and weekends (primarily Saturdays) and may be asked to travel (with overnight stays) if business requires.
