Lacrosse Coach

TOP Lacrosse is looking to hire **part-time lacrosse coaches **for the upcoming spring season. The TOP Lacrosse Club is the lacrosse arm of TOP Sports, and currently offers field lacrosse programs at the Academy, Development, and Learn-to-Play levels for boys and girls ages 4-14 from Mid-April to Mid-November.

**ORGANIZATION PROFILE**

TOP Sports was founded in 2017 to provide an alternative pathway for competitive athletes by promoting multi-sport participation, long-term development, and high-quality coaching that builds character. Since inception, TOP Sports has added TOP Lacrosse, TOP Hockey, TOP Soccer, and TOP Basketball programs under its umbrella, and currently serves over 3,000 athletes per year.

**POSITIONS AVAILABLE**
- **HEAD COACH, ACADEMY TEAMS**_

The **Head Coach, Academy Teams** will oversee all elements of our Academy team programs, working with our Boys or Girls lacrosse teams between U9 and U14. Head Coaches are responsible for their teams’ development throughout the season, including technical knowledge, tactical development, and gameplay. Additionally, Head Coaches are responsible for player and parent engagement, including bi-weekly team updates, parent feedback meetings, and other related duties. Head Coaches will be assigned to the same team for the duration of the season and will have 3x weekly practices. In addition, Academy teams play in 3x festivals each season, 2x in the GTA and 1x USA. This position will typically consist of 4 hours on-field per week, plus 1-2 hours of admin time.
- **ASSISTANT COACH, ACADEMY TEAMS**_

The **Assistant Coach, Academy Teams** will support the Head Coach with our Academy team programs, working with our Boys or Girls lacrosse teams between U9 and U14. Assistant Coaches will be assigned to the same team for the duration of the season and will have 3x weekly practices. In addition, Academy teams play in 3x festivals each season, 2x in the GTA and 1x USA. This position will typically consist of 4 hours on-field per week.
- **ASSISTANT COACH, DEVELOPMENT & LEARN-TO-PLAY**_

The **Assistant** **Coach, Development & Learn-to-Play **will support our Development and Learn-to-Play programs for Boys and Girls ages 4-10. Development and Learn-to-Play programs run 1-2x week and feature station-based activities and small-area games. Coaches will work under a lead coach to execute session plans and interclub games, considering the Club's training and game model, coaching philosophy, and development expectations.

All sessions take place on weeknights between 5:30pm-8:30pm, and/or weekends between 9am-3pm.

These roles are ideal for someone who is passionate about lacrosse and interested in coaching at the Grassroots or Competitive level. Applicants should have a strong technical understanding of field lacrosse and how to teach technical aspects of the game in an age-appropriate way. All applicants must be excellent verbal communicators and have strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

For Head Coach positions, previous coaching experience is required.

For Assistant Coach positions, previous coaching experience is an asset but not required.

**Salary**: $30.00-$55.00 per hour
