Machine Operator

**Machine Operator: Starting wage: $17.25 per hour**

**Job Duties**:

- Responsible for preparing machines at beginning of shift based on daily production schedule in coordination with maintenance team; ensure proper set-up through checking and testing the machinery
- Able to operate the machine by manually loading required items/parts for smooth flow
- Able to closely monitor machinery while its running: troubleshoot minor issues during machine operation and report problems to the maintenance team to reduce down time
- Perform corrective machine adjustments when needed and recalibration during product changes on the line
- Ensure periodical cleaning on machines & work area during and once production is complete
- Ensure periodical checks of products that are on the line for optimized output
- Ensure safety checks are completed at all times following safety policy such as Lockout/Tag out, SOP, and JSA
- Monitor products running on line ensuring they meet production/ customer standards and clear blockages as required
- Setting up price retail
- using BIZERBA machine, printing price labels and placing on trays
- Maintaining optimal stock levels to ensure timely availability of products
- Bring product in from the production floor and a steady pace to keep their work area clean and clear of finished product.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as production worker and machine operator
- Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures
- Basic technical skills and ability fix problems quickly
- Excellent numerical, analytical skills with ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with customers, employees and Supervisors
- Must have high level of manual dexterity required for operating equipment
- Self-starter with strong organization skills and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Safety conscious
- Comfortable working around raw meat
- Must have good attendance and be punctual
- Able to read, write, and comprehend English
- Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg when required
- Ability to work for extended hours and on short notice including early shift, weekend shifts etc.

Starting Wage: $17.25 per hour

Shift: 3:30 pm to 12:00 am - with possibility of 1 to 2 hours of overtime depending on company demands
