Sanitation Worker Afternoon/night Shift

**Job description**:

- J&L Beef is currently seeking Sanitation Workers for our Cloverdale facility.
- You would be responsible for ensuring the production facility is cleaned and sanitized in a timely fashion in accordance with HACCP & CFIA regulations.
- You could expect to be lifting and moving products from area to area, using high pressure hot water hoses to wash machines; clean-up tasks such as garbage removal and other activities related to food processing.
- You will need to be comfortable handling raw meat such as chicken, beef, and turkey, comfortable working in a humid, wet environment, and working in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided.

**Requirements for the position**:

- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada and be minimum 18 years of age
- You need to be comfortable working around raw meat products
- Comfortable working in a wet environment with warm/cool temperatures.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Be able to work with mínimal supervision and in a team environment
- Positive attitude and safety focused
- Willingness to develop new skills
- Previous cleaning experience including GMP’s, and WHIMS are an asset
- Attention to detail and ability to find defects in product streams
- Ability to operate mobile equipment such as power jack, forklift, scissor lift, and any other mobile equipment would be considered an asset
- Able to handle extended periods of static tasks with alertness, but also able to multitask

Full Time Permanent Position

**Schedule**:
For training purpose the starting shift will be Monday to Friday - 8:30 pm - 5:00 am. After 1 month+ of training, the shift will change to: Monday to Friday 12:00 pm to 8:30 PM with the possibility of overtime each shift. You must be available for occasional work on Saturday's.

**Starting Wage**: from $18.00 per hour + plus night shift premium of.65 cents per hour.
