Our story began in the summer of 1994 when our founder taught 50 kids to swim in his parents’ backyard pool where Making Waves Swim School was born It wasn’t a sophisticated business however, it gave us the freedom to focus on what mattered most - our student’s progress in the pool, connecting with families and giving back to our community.

Now, over twenty-nine years later, we have four swim school locations in Brampton, Milton, Mississauga, and Vaughan and teach over 7,000 students per week in learn-to-swim programs. Our award-winning water safety programs have produced thousands of confident swimmers, while staying true to the care, enthusiasm and passion put into that first summer.

Our Canadian roots also means the more diversity we have in our team, the more unique perspectives and fun ideas we share. **THE ROLE**

In this exciting opportunity, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the marketing plan to increase our brand awareness and help engage our current customers.

**Can you?**
- Assist in the development of an annual marketing calendar and bring it all to life
- Collaborate across many functions to help support and develop marketing ideas
- Participate in the development of drive meaningful connections with customers
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of campaigns that are on-time and within budget
- Work closely with our agency partners to plan and execute integrated marketing programs across multiple media channels and touchpoints
- Co-lead the activation of all internal and external event marketing and promotions
- Measure post campaign results and develop recommendations to improve and advance future initiatives
- Supporting industry partners with digital marketing projects and other special projects as required

- Detail oriented, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects in fast-paced work environment with changing priorities and strict deadlines
- A team player, able to influence, build relationships and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Digitally savvy and up to date on current social media and digital trends
- Able to create marketing tools such as flyers, posters, greeting cards, business cards
- An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual
- Able to work evenings and weekends, as required

**Do you have?**
- 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, events management and graphic design
- Post-secondary education in marketing or related field
- Strong knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Experience with digital communication software (Mailchimp, Wordpress, Survey Monkey)
- Previous experience working in aquatics, recreation, retail, or similar structured organizations
- Access to a vehicle and are able to travel to MWSS locations within the GTA
