ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Process accounts receivable and revenue collection functions, including preparing, printing, and posting invoices, following up on outstanding invoices and administering collection.
- Perform transaction processing related to accounts receivable payments, revenue collection and bank deposits.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all accounts receivable and accounts payable databases and files, including monthly, periodic, and annual reconciliation of control accounts.
- Recommend continual process improvements and ensure that procedures are documented.
- Respond to enquiries from external and internal customers.
- Support month-end and year-end closing process.
- Must be able to work extended hours at year-end.
- Assist with the execution of ad-hoc projects related to process improvements to support the Accounts Receivable team.

**Education and Experience**
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Full functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision, Microsoft NAV)
- Accounting Degree or equivalent
- Working towards an Accounting Designation (CPA, CGA, etc.)
- Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
- Knowledge of Canadian taxes
- Accounts payable and receivables experience and expertise
- Job costing experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience
