We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Support Administrator to join our dynamic team at our Stoney Creek location.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review invoices from mills, carriers and other vendors for proper approvals and account coding for both Canada and the US.
- Assist in performing inventory procedures to ensure shipping and receiving of material is correctly accounted for in Navision software.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls surrounding inventory/accounts payable and our SOX controls.
- Perform physical inventory counts at various locations and process results
- Review of monthly Expense Report submissions for accuracy, correct coding and proper sign-off/approvals
- Accounts Payable invoice batch review.
- Maintain monthly year-end reporting and tax schedules for submission to Nucor, our parent company.
- Perform any additional duties and responsibilities that Management may require.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Analytical skills are considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Excellent time management skills to meet various internal and external deadlines, especially at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite products, including Outlook, Teams and Word, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- Lifting/handling computers and related equipment Vision abilities, including close vision and adjusting focus

- May be required to work overtime during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end or due to other operational demands such as off-site physical inventory counts
