- We are looking for a **Registration Clerk** to work with our **Welcome Centre** Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork**Position Responsibilities**:

- The Registration/Booking Clerk is accountable and responsible for the general and specialized duties required to support the daily activities of patient registrations and bookings. Registers patients by accurately entering patient information. Maintains patient database and ensures data integrity by correcting errors.**Duties**:

- Provides good customer relations to both internal and external clients by answering inquiries, directing calls, providing direction and/or providing appropriate documentation.
- Responsible for appointment booking of patients for outpatient visits, including calling patients, explaining preparation for exams, booking appointments in the system and cancelling/rebooking appointments.
- Works with e-requisition solutions to move patient exam requests from received through to completed.
- Works with Provincial ICMS system
- Communicates with Technologists and Radiologists as required.
- Performs positive patient identification for all patients using 3 unique identifiers.
- Contributes to team effort by working with other members of the Registration team and other teams as required.
- Assists as required in peer development and orientation of new employees by providing information and developing and conducting in-house training.
- Validates health cards on every registration - 2 forms of ID required if photo health card not available.
- Places arms bands on all patients.
- Participates in patient safety initiatives and takes action to address unsafe conditions and procedures to ensure a healthy and safe environment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical terminology certificate or equivalent required
- Diploma in Office Administration - Health Services/Medical Office Admin (preferred)
- Recent patient registration experience
- Meditech admissions as well as staffing and scheduling experience required.
- Experience using Community-wide scheduling, Windows NT Workstation, MS Word/Outlook/Excel
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills dealing with both internal and external clients
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other allied health professionals in a very dynamic work environment
- Ability to multi-task and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Flexibility with scheduling of shifts to meet team needs

**Hiring Salary Range**: $26.02-$28.71
