**Reports to**: This position reports to the Recruiting Supervisor

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate hiring activities
- Help with resume screening and initial phone screens
- Process background checks
- Completing Reference checks
- Handle records and paperwork
- Resolve issues as fast as possible (e.g. interview cancellations)
- Assist with new hire onboarding (e.g. preparing documents, coordinating orientation agendas)
- Proven experience as a Recruitment Assistant or other recruiting-related role

**Qualifications**
- Familiarity with hiring practices and stages (screening, interview, assessment, onboarding)
- Experience in the Trucking/Logistics Industry.
- Experience using recruiting software and social networks for recruiting. Experience using Truckright would be an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Great attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills
- Problem-solving ability
- A degree or diploma in HR would be an asset.
