Landmark East is an independent co-ed day and boarding school for students in Grades 3 to 12 with learning differences including Dyslexia, Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder and more. Our school is located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, a small university town nestled in the Annapolis Valley. Landmark East School is committed to student-centred learning, small class sizes, daily physical activity, community service and diverse pedagogy. We provide quality academic programs fully approved by the Department of Education with individual intensive support classes available for students as required. A team of over forty dedicated professionals specializing in various roles drives the school’s success. **Position Summary**:
As a member of the Student Life Team you are responsible for helping to develop and lead evening and weekend recreation activities for boarding students Grades 7-12. Student Life Team Members must also be prepared and able to supervise, assist, and ensure the safety and enjoyment of students in a variety of other school and community situations including but not limited to: study hall, student residences, afterschool and weekend settings, school vehicles and activities.

- Capable of modelling, demonstrating, and maintaining high expectations of self and others
- Enthusiastic, engaged, patient, and fully accountable
- Able to think strategically and be a problem solver
- Open minded and resilient
- Empathetic, caring, and able to communicate a wide range of messaging with a varied group of individuals
- Education, Training, and Experience_
- Experience working with youth in a school/recreational/coach setting
- Experience leading sports and recreation activities a must
- Currently enrolled in or completed a college or university level program
- Valid Driver’s License
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry
- Proof of COVID Vaccination (Fully vaccinated)
- Current certification for Emergency First Aid or willing to obtain
- Mental Health First Aid is considered an asset

**Salary**: $15.00-$15.50 per hour
