**Position Summary**:
The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a confident, compassionate, motivated individual to join our Family and Community Support Services Team. Reporting to the Director of FCSS, the Senior Coordinator is responsible for providing opportunities to enable older adults to remain as independent as possible within the community, while maintaining dignity and an optimum quality of life.

**Responsibilities**:

- include, but are not limited to:
- Provide information, referral, support and advocacy to older adults.
- Provide support, information, and assistance to families who are caring for their elderly family members.
- Research emerging social trends and community issues that impact the older adult population.
- Partner with community groups to develop programs and services that meet the needs of older adults.
- Network with a variety of local, regional and government partners.
- Provide ongoing coordination, training and support to program volunteers.
- Facilitate the monthly caregiver support group meetings.
- Attend regular community based committee meetings representing the older adult population.
- Provide outreach services to older adults and families in the community.
- Continuously evaluate the FCSS older adult programming.
- Coordinate the annual Seniors Week community celebration.

**Qualifications**:
A Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check will be required upon hire.
