**Fire Chief**:
The City of Terrace has an exciting opportunity for a motivated enthusiastic individual to the fill the position of Fire Chief. The Fire Chief is overseeing the Composite Fire Department and including the municipal fire protection and fire prevention programs.

We are looking to round out our team with someone who brings these qualities and abilities to the table:

- Innovative thinking, creative problem solving, superior team-building and visionary leadership abilities;
- Exceptional communications skill and committed to leading programs supporting mental health;
- Ability to budget and maintain financial control over Department’s operations;
- Management experience including a good working understanding of Collective Agreements;
- Ability to manage and oversee a large number of staff;
- Relevant educational background and experience.

This is an exempt position reporting to the City Manager with a 35-hour work week and offers an excellent benefit package. Given the nature of the position flexible working hours will occasionally be required. The salary of this position if $146,260/annum.
