**Prerequisites**:
1. A diploma of college studies (DEC) in special care counseling or an attestation of studies related in a field recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.

2. At least 2 years’ experience working with students with special needs.

3. Previous work experience with students in an educational setting would be a definite asset.

4. Expertise in the use and interpretation of assessment tools used to evaluate students with special needs.

5. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and competence in conflict resolution.

6. Excellent team building and organization skills instead.

7. Knowledge of Kanien’keha:ka people, culture and history would be beneficial.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Kanien’keha and French are considered an asset.

Sous l’autorité du Conseil Mohawk de Kanesatake et de concertation avec le Centre d’éducation Kanehsatà:ke. Sous la supervision immédiate du coordinateur de l’éducation spécialisée, le technician en éducation spécialisée travaille de concert avec le psychologue de l’école, les enseignants, et autres professionnels afin de développer et appliquer des techniques en éducation spécialisée, des méthodes et programmes pour les étudiants qui ont des difficultés d’apprentissages, émotionelles, comportementales ou sociales. Le technician en éducation spécialisée apporte un support académique et d’intervention comportementale aux étudiants avec des besoins spéciaux qui fréquentent les écoles de Kanesatake.

**Prérequis**:
1. Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) en counselling pour soins spécialisés ou alors une attestation d’études dans un domaine connexe reconnu comme équivalent par une autorité compétente.

2. Au moins 2 années d’expérience à travailler avec des étudiants avec des besoins spéciaux.

3. Expérience de travail avec des étudiants dans un environnement éducationel est un atout.

4. Expertise dans l’usage et l’interprétation des outils d’évaluation utilisés pour les étudiants avec des besoins spéciaux.

5. Posséder d’excellente compétences en communication interpersonnelle et de compétence en résolution de conflit.

6. Posséder d’excellentes compétences en développement d’esprit d’équipe et organisationnelles.

7. Une connaissance du peuple Kanien’keha:ka, sa culture et son histoire serait bénéfique.

8. Posséder d’excellentes compétences écrites et verbales en communication en anglais. Kanien’keha et français un atout.

9. Permis de conduire valide et accès à un véhicule.

10. Compétences en prévention de crise et RCR sont des atouts, ou disponible à suivre une formation.
