Kennel Assistant

The Medicine Hat SPCA is currently recruiting a casual/part time Kennel Assistant to join our team.

This will be a flexible, hourly position that may include evenings and weekends as required.

General duties include:

- Prepare food and feed animals
- Monitor and document animal behavior
- Clean and disinfect kennels, runs, stalls, cages, and enclosures
- Ability to work with a variety of animals including cats, dogs, and small animals
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 40lbs.

Requirement:

- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Applicants must be minimum 18 years old
- Experience working in an animal shelter and/or veterinary clinic would be considered an asset
