**Role Description**

PowerTek is seeking a seasoned IT Operations Consultant to join our team and lead high-profile IT transformation initiatives for key clients in the power and energy sector. This role will focus on implementing a target state IT Operating Model (ITOM) to build foundational IT capabilities, enhance organizational structure, and drive strategic IT projects aimed at risk mitigation. The consultant will collaborate closely with executive leadership, project stakeholders, and IT teams to support PowerTek’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Lead ITOM Implementation**: Oversee the adoption of a service-optimized ITOM, monitor progress, and address gaps in IT maturity, capabilities, and effectiveness.
- **Establish Foundational IT Processes**: Develop and refine ITOM processes to align with client business needs and improve IT efficiency.
- **IT Organizational Design**: Enhance IT organizational structure and define roles in collaboration with HR and other key stakeholders.
- **Workforce Management**: Track and report on IT workforce planning, optimize capacity, and balance “run” vs. “grow” priorities to meet client needs.
- **Risk Mitigation & Project Management**: Oversee IT risk mitigation initiatives, cloud strategy implementation, and modern workplace technology enablement.
- **Mentor & Advise**: Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, coaching IT staff, and fostering collaboration across teams.

**Qualifications**
- **Experience**: 10+ years in senior IT roles, with a preference for experience in energy, utilities, or consulting sectors.
- **Technical Skills**: In-depth knowledge of ITOM patterns, cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure), Office 365, and operational management of Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and MS Teams.
- **Project Management**: Familiarity with PMI methodology; PMP certification is a plus.
- **Leadership**: Proven ability to lead IT governance, organizational design, and vendor management.
- **Communication**: Excellent skills in stakeholder management, consultation, and mediation.

**Note**
- 30% time required on-site in the Office in Winnipeg, Manitoba

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

Pay: $100,000.00-$115,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay
