**Job Summary:
Li-Cycle is seeking a Manager, Procurement, Global that will develop and execute strategic sourcing for various global strategic spend categories, support teams in purchasing, operations and logistics, and ensure all employees and processes meet the company’s standards and designations for work quality globally.

The individual will communicate regularly with many other professionals in Li-Cycle, including leadership teams in operation and finance, managers and engineers. He or she is also in direct communication with vendors to handle queries, make agreements and improve the purchasing to pay processes. To better understand every aspect of procurement, the Manager may attend regular meetings with other teams. The Manager, Procurement, Global reports to the Senior Director, Procurement, Global.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with Operations teams and manage strategic sourcing of materials and services totaling >$100M.
- Lead projects, develop and manage sourcing strategies, drive cost savings synergies, issue RFI’s/RFQ’s and negotiate contracts so as to obtain the most competitive prices or total cost of ownership while maintaining quality standards and service requirements.
- Consolidate product categories into manageable pricing formulas based on underlying commodities.
- Work closely with the inside legal, finance and regulatory department to develop contracts and terms with strategic suppliers.
- Ensure supplier capacity alignment, develop senior-level relationships, conduct monthly meetings to drive service, quality improvements, and lead time reductions.
- Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of supply shortages or disruptions.
- Ensure site compliance to global procurement policies, legal policies, financial controls, quality directives and relevant SOPs.
- Refine and support the newly implemented indirect procurement processes.
- Develop baseline cross-functional KPIs / scorecards to measure performance to targets for budget, contracted spend, and vendor service metrics.
- Support Transactional Buying Activities and maintenance of ERP data.
- Facilitate strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- International travel as necessary.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience in a mining, chemical or heavy industry, with at least 5 years of leadership experience
- Purchasing or Supply Chain certificate desired
- Results-oriented, a metrics-driven leader with expertise in sourcing, procurement, supplier collaboration, development, financial literacy, and compliance
- Solid experience in change and category management, and best practices.
- Strong results delivered in complex negotiations and projects.
- Solid analytical skills
- Well-developed computer skills in Excel and ERP software
- Strong communication skills
