Youth Space Coordinator

South Surrey, Canada Alex House Full time

Alex House, as a neighbourhood house, takes an assets-based approach to working in community, understanding the potential of each individual to contribute to the wellness of our shared community, regardless of what brings them through our doors for the very first time.

The Youth Space

The Youth Space is a safe, sober and inclusive place for youth aged 10-23 to create, connect and innovate. Young people and adult allies work together to support youth to realize their potential by providing opportunities for youth to discover and develop their passions and life skills, connect with and contribute to community, and access self-identified supports and services. Rather than merely acting as participants, our youth create an inclusive space, set policy, and build programming for youth of all backgrounds with adult support.
