Acara Solutions seeks **Production Managers** in Aurora, ON.
- The Production Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations and processes of the Converting Department (Bag) and Lamination operations.
- Responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring professionals to meet production targets, uphold quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.
- Champions all Company safety standards and requirements.
- Directs and coordinates all converting production and works closely with the Plant Manager, Quality Manager and Technical group, Maintenance and Engineering, and Customer Support/Scheduling employees to help maximize the facility's efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Develops manufacturing plans, maintains production schedules, quality, safety, and cost standards, and regularly reports on each of these.
- Excellent communicator and leader with past achievements engaging the employees to achieve higher productivity, Quality and Safety performance levels.
- Understands the P&L and then uses that understanding to drive cost reductions throughout their responsibilities.
- Track department production statistics daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually and report these to the Management and Operations teams at monthly and bi-annual meetings.
- At times, must be able to step in and fill in for Shift Supervisors.
- Assists in planning production work, makes assignments and supervises subordinates.
**Required Skills / Qualifications**:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in flexographic packaging converting operations.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, GMP, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and 6 Sigma.
