Bilingual Communication Specialist

**Overview**:The International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled **Bilingual Communication Specialist**. As a Bilingual Communication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between ICAS and its diverse clientele. This position requires proficiency in both English and French, excellent writing and translation skills, and the ability to engage with clients through various channels. **This is an in-office position.**
**Responsibilities may include**:
**Translation and Language Proficiency**:
- Prepare accurate and culturally appropriate translations of documents related to educational credentials, assessment reports, and other materials as needed.
- Ensure that translations adhere to industry standards and maintain the integrity of the content.
- Provide language support for various written materials and documents.
**Communication Scripting**:
- Ensure that communications align with ICAS messaging and goals.
**Research and Information Gathering**:
- Conduct research on international educational systems, credentials, accreditation processes, and related topics to support communication efforts.
- Stay informed about changes and updates in international education and credential assessment.
**Drafting Promotional Materials**:
- Draft text for promotional materials, information handouts, and other communication materials.
- Collaborate with external service providers to create engaging and informative materials.
**Client Communication**:
- Ensure a positive client experience through effective communication.
**Required Qualifications**
- Fluency in both English and French (written and verbal).
- Bachelor's degree in languages, communications, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in French language preferred*
- Proven experience in translation and communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills in both languages.
- Excellent research abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Veiller à ce que les traductions respectent les normes de l'industrie et préservent l'intégrité du contenu.
- Fournir un support linguistique pour divers documents écrits.
**Rédaction de scripts de communication**:
- S'assurer que les communications sont en accord avec les messages et les objectifs d’ICAS.
**Recherche et collecte d'informations**:
- Effectuer des recherches sur les systèmes éducatifs internationaux, les diplômes, les processus d'accréditation et des sujets connexes pour soutenir les efforts de communication.
- Rester informé des changements et des mises à jour dans l'éducation internationale et l'évaluation des diplômes.
**Rédaction de matériel promotionnel**:
- Rédiger des textes pour les supports promotionnels, les dépliants d'information et d'autres supports decommunication.
- Collaborer avec des prestataires de services externes pour créer des supports engageants et informatifs.
**Communication avec les clients**:
- Interagir avec les clients (par téléphone, en personne et par courriel) de manière professionnelle et axée sur le client, en répondant à leurs questions, préoccupations et en fournissant des conseils sur le processus d'évaluation diplômes.
- Assurer une expérience client positive grâce à une communication efficace.
**Qualifications requises**
- S'exprimer couramment en français et en anglais (écrit et oral)
- Diplôme de premier cycle en langues, communication ou dans un domaine connexe
- Maîtrise en langue française préférée*
- Expérience avérée en traduction et en communication
- Solides compétences en rédaction et en édition dans les deux langues
- Excellentes capacités de recherche et souci du détail
- Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en collaboration dans un environnement dynamique
