**SUMMARY**

Reporting to the PRDS1 working sub-committee (COSML2 ), the coordinator ensures the success of the project "Mental health resource center for the English-speaking population of Laval" (N/D: PRDS-22-08 ) whose mission is to offer local mental health services in the Chomedey sector. In order to support the English-speaking population and offer them a continuum of services. In accordance with the standards and values of the fiduciary organization (ALPABEM), the coordinator assumes the role and responsibilities for all activities related to the management of financial, material and human resources.

The coordinator is fully responsible for the performance and results of the project. They participate, with the sub-committee, in the development of business strategies and budget planning. Among other things, they develop an action plan and carry out day-to-day administrative and professional activities. They ensure the implementation of meticulous management tools, in accordance with the available financial resources. Maintains and cordial relations with the entire ALPABEM team, members of the COSML sub-committee, and partners from various sectors (community, school, health and social and municipal services, among others).

The coordinator must report to the Director General of the fiduciary organization on the progress of its activities, in particular by preparing any and all required reports.

The coordinator organizes all the sub-committee meetings with the working organization (COSML) and any and all working committees.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- University degree in a relevant field and possesses extensive knowledge related to their area of expertise.
- Mastery in essential management skills (human and financial).
- Experience in creating and managing projects.
- Experiences in consultation, mobilization and good knowledge of the mental health sector
- Experience in and with various ethnocultural communities.
- Advanced skills in planning and organization, and a sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication and representation/advocacy skills.
- Mastery of the English language, spoken and written; (functional knowledge of French is an asset)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office software and knowledge of communication tools (Web and HTML language, including WordPress, Publisher, PDF Pro, Facebook and Instagram).
- Ability to independently manage several files simultaneously in an active environment. This requires versatility, discretion, confidentiality and leadership.
- The nature of the job requires frequent travel within the region of Laval (valid driver's license and car required).

**DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES**

In general, the coordinator will assume the following mandate:
**To put forward and ensure the implementation and execution of the mandates of the sub-committee.**
- Promote the enlistment and participation of key Laval stakeholders around projects and lead and plan committee meetings.
- Support committee members in the development, implementation and evaluation of the annual action plan.
- Ensure an awareness of any potential opportunities for strategic development
- Ensure sound management of financial and material resources.
- Prepare budget forecasts.
- Monitor the budget and complete the annual report in collaboration with the mandated organization and the members of the committee.
- Monotoring of obligations from agreements with financial partners (quotes, reports, balance sheets, etc.).
- Coordinate the writing of requests for financial support, balance sheets and other reports and support the committee in writing as needed.
- Look for funding opportunities.

**Carry out administrative tasks related to the mandate**
- Create the necessary conditions and coordinate the work related to the development, implementation and evaluation process of the annual action plan.
- Ensure that the activities contribute to the achievement of the project objectives while respecting the allocated resources.
- Ensure that the targets, budgets and deadlines established for the project are respected.
- Ensure regular follow-up with the sub-committee regarding the progress of the action plan.
- Monitor issues that could have an impact on the implementation of the action plan.
- Support the sub-committee when deliberating over the sustainability of the project.

**Ensure the preservation and maintenance of the building, facilities and equipment.**
- Prepare any acquisition request relating to office furniture, supplies and equipment.
- Establish a healthy and safe working environment.

**Day-to-day responsibility of human resources management.**
- Ensure the efficiency of resources and the contribution of their improvement.
- Guide the administration of human resources regarding their responsibilities and accountability.
- Maintain harmonious and stimulating working relationships.
- Close monitoring and assessment of staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary measures, when required.
