- Organizing extra-curricular activities to support school perseverance in Cegep
- Working with teachers to develop and animate classroom activities that help make academic knowledge more relevant for teenagers.
- Working with local organizations to help create links between the Cegep and community.
- **JOB CONDITIONS**_
- $20/hour, part-time (15hours/week), flexible schedule
- Reimbursement of mileage for transport to the place of work, in certain specific cases

- Opportunities for internship recognition

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Create, organize, and lead engaging activities for Cegep students.
- Manage a budget for the project and the material inventory.
- Communicate and collaborate with school staff as well as external partners in the implementation of projects, activities, and special events.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Experience working with youth.
- Motivation, leadership persistence, flexibility, communication skills, vision and creativity are essential.
- Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

**LANGUAGE**
- Spoken and written English; _knowledge of written and spoken English is required in this role because you will be interacting with anglophone colleagues, customers and partners located across Canada._
- Spoken and written French is an asset.
- **Written and/or oral knowledge of an Indigenous language is an asset.**

**IMPORTANT**

A criminal background check is required to work with vulnerable people. This is done at the time of hiring.

**MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM**:
This program aims to support the unique needs of First Nations and Inuit students embarking on their post-secondary journey. Project coordinators provide engaging programming focused on nurturing leadership, the promoting healthy living and enhancing community building. This program aims to familiarize students with college facilities and the city, build ties among Indigenous students, and guide students to develop a healthier lifestyle. Programming delivered by the project coordinator in collaboration with animators includes study sessions, stress and time management workshops, physical activity and fitness, healthy cooking, as well as supporting existing initiatives for Indigenous post-secondary students at your college.
