Our mandate is to improve the socio-economic conditions of off-reserve status and non-status Indians, Métis and Southern Inuit living in urban or rural areas. CAP holds meetings with members of the government to find practical ways to improve federal programs, policies and services for off-reserve Indigenous Peoples.

**Summary**

Reporting to the Director of Partnership Development, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the completion of an environmental scan, asset mapping, and the development of a strategic sustainability action plan to sustain gender equality programming. This project seeks to develop standards to ensure future gender equity projects are self-sustaining and have an effective impact.

**What You'll Do**
- Lead the development and coordination of partnerships and networks that support and progress the objectives to build capacity for gender equality programming;
- Establish and maintain a partnership evaluation protocol that ensures that potential partner organizations are responsive, managed openly and effectively and work with similar or complimentary objectives as it relates to gender equality;
- Communicating plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders
- Review research, feasibility studies and business plans to develop strategies for the improvement, development and customization of programs and services;
- Identify gaps and challenges associated with current gender equality programming and develop a strategy to promote awareness;
- Stay current with external and internal developments in the environment for identifying gaps in gender equality programming;
- Plan, develop and execute a sustainability guide for gender equality programming;
- Support the promotion and understanding of gender equality in Aboriginal communities;
**You'll Need to Have**
- Post secondary degree in Gender Studies, Indigenous Studies, or a combination of equivalent education and work experience;
- Minimum two to three years of relevant experience in project management or coordination;
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills; written and oral skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Must have a general understanding of policy issues for off-reserve Indigenous Peoples living in urban, rural, remote and isolated areas throughout Canada;
**Our Working Conditions**
- Hybrid working would normally be performed from the CAP National Office based in Ottawa.
- Remote working arrangements are permitted for employees residing outside of the Ottawa region
- Occasional weekend and evening work
- Salary commensurate with experience
