**Role Overview**:
As a Research scientist, you will play a crucial role in the upscaling of flexible and rigid perovskite solar cells and modules. You will be responsible for fabrication of cells and modules and evaluate device performance to drive our R&D objectives. In addition, you will be responsible for device stack optimization by testing various materials and process and quality control of the deposition.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design suitable device architectures for perovskite solar cells and modules in collaboration with project leads.
- Fabricate modules through blade-coating and slot-die coating.
- Perform quality checks to control the fabrication process.
- Conduct material analysis, opto-electronic characterization of fabricated devices.
- Support Rayleigh with short-term and long-term R&D goals.
- Contribute to the technology development initiatives and pilot-line development.
- Uphold the quality and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.

**Required Experience**:

- 3+ years of experience in organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials R&D.
- Good understanding and knowledge of semiconductor physics, solid-state chemistry, and solar cell operation.
- Hands-on experience in perovskite device fabrication and characterization.
- Experience in perovskite solar module design and fabrication is a plus.
- Experience with various thin-film deposition techniques, especially large area slot die/blade coating is highly advantageous.
- Ability to solve R&D problems and scale-up challenges related to perovskite PV.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to perform tasks independently.

**Education and Skills**:

- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Physics, or related degree
- Industrial or post-doctoral experience in photovoltaic devices is a plus.
