We currently have a** Regular Full-time **opportunity for a **Professional Leader of Nursing **in the** Interprofessional Practice **Department at our **Sunnybrook** Campus.

**Hours of Work:
Weekdays; Days; 8 hrs; as per schedule

**Summary of Duties**:

- Develop, implement, and evaluate professional specific standards that promote the vision and strategic goals of SHSC.
- Lead in the innovation of practice through the development and revision of policies, standards, competencies, and performance excellence systems that are consistent with legislative requirements, professional standards, and codes of ethics for nursing practice in Ontario and Canada; provides consultation and support to Sunnybrook teams to foster innovation and best practices consistent with standards.
- Accountable for ensuring compliance with various regulatory, organizational, and local standards to promote the highest quality of care.
- Consults with unit leadership, Human Resources and Labour relations on profession specific standards, and practice issues management and improvement.
- Collaborate with organizational leaders across all units/programs to provide leadership for interprofessional collaboration to support the highest quality patient care.
- Act as a role model and coach to promote excellence in practice and continued professional development of all staff.
- Represent and provide leadership on program, corporate, and internal/external committees and/or associations.
- Drive the academic mandate by identifying growth opportunities, potential external partnerships and innovative programming

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Nursing and or/Health related Master’s Degree
- Demonstrated interprofessional team leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated success in establishing, leading and sustaining positive change through best practice implementation and quality improvement initiatives
- Knowledgeable in Practice, Education, Leadership and Research best practice
- Self-directed and strong collaborative skills
- Ability to manage and balance multiple priorities
- Superior critical thinking skills and ability to generate ideas and fresh perspectives
- Dissemination experience including, publications presentations or workshops locally, provincially, and nationally/internationally
- Proficient organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively problem solve
