We are looking for a **Clinical Research Analyst** with an interest in conducting research on Infectious Diseases studies, and a passion for improving healthcare through research.

As an integral member of the Immunodeficiency research team, your core responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- The primary responsibility of recruiting, consenting and conducting interviews/surveys of participants living with HIV in a cohort study.
- Provide research support across numerous ongoing Infectious Diseases studies.
- Abstract clinical information from electronic patient records into various databases according to standards from MOHLTC/CIHI and hospital abstracting guidelines
- Format clinical data for submission to various multi-site studies
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required.
- Coordinate and combine electronic data from various sources including electronic patient records, laboratory data, and external databases
- Collaborate with other team members (e.g., research coordinators, clinicians, biostatisticians, etc.) to ensure data management aspects of the project are properly considered and will integrate well with the other activities, assuring overall quality and efficiency
- Accurately and efficiently perform regular data cleaning activities including data review, query generation and management (i.e. queries on missing data and data points failing pre-defined range checks and/or logical checks), and development of study metrics to ensure quality of coded data and adherence to coding standards
- Develop, generate and analyze project progress and/or metric reports, and provide proactive, timely communication of project status, data trends and issue resolution with study team

**Qualifications**:

- At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent, in a health or science-related discipline.
- One (1) year of related experience in a research environment, and at least one 1years experience in clinical data capture and management preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable clinical research regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to navigate through problems and seek advice and/or approval for resolution of complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, focused on building relationships and working in a collaborative environment with a diverse cross-functional team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
