**Remy Consulting Engineers Ltd. (RCEL),** is currently seeking a Registered Construction Contract Administrator for our MTO transportation group to play an important role in the delivery of functional/preliminary and detailed Ministry of Transportation, Ontario and Municipal Construction Contract Administration Assignments. We are looking for someone with passion and drive, who is highly organized and can ensure that our high standard of quality is maintained.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

Remy Consulting Engineers Ltd. is currently seeking an MTO Contract Administrator for our Active MTO and Municipal Construction Contract Administration Assignments. This position is a part of our Critical Infrastructure team. As a Contract Administrator, you will supervise our dedicated Construction Inspectors, overseeing their work and providing guidance to ensure projects are completed in accordance with contractual obligations and quality standards.

This role also involves inspecting construction operations to ensure compliance with contract documents, quality standards, and safety regulations. You'll be responsible for verifying quantities, preparing progress reports, and maintaining meticulous documentation to track project milestones and ensure transparency in project management.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervising Construction Inspectors;
- Reviewing and understanding relevant OPSS and contract special provisions;
- Interpreting requirements and details of contract drawings and specifications;
- Inspecting construction operations from time to time to ensure compliance with contract documents, quality and safety standards;
- Verifying quantities, preparing progress reports and maintaining documentation;
- Proactively looking for issues, recommending mitigation measures, evaluating incidents early and adapting as needed;
- Promoting and overseeing compliance with health and safety regulations;
- Preparing reporting, quantity measurements, claims and payment certifications.
- Liaising with contractors and clients, and;
- Ability to interpret critical path schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Registered as an EIT, if applicable, or P. Eng. with PEO or RCCA / RCSI with OACETT.
- Completion of MTO T131 - Advanced Claims - Dispute Resolution course.
- 3+ years experience of Inspection Experience in structural, watermain, asphalt, and/or grade construction on road and/or bridge construction projects.
- Knowledge of the requirements of MTO’s Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual
- Provide proof of good standing and current Annual Membership Card with OACETT or PEO.
- Knowledge of applicable design standards, OPS specifications, standard drawings, and quality control / quality assurance material testing methods.
- Proven analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to utilize computer software such as MS Word, Excel, including experience with MTO specific software and with material payment calculation methods
- Valid Class G Driver’s License and have access to a vehicle.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
