**How will you contribute?**:
The Manager, Major LTVP Project Planning and Delivery is accountable for providing a strategic perspective, approach and integration to ensure global vision of specific projects under the Senate's construction and renovation program for the Parliamentary Precinct. The position is responsible for the provision of project leadership and project related strategic advice related to the reconfiguration, construction and renovation projects in support of Senate client requirements, space optimization and other major capital and recapitalization initiatives within the Parliamentary Precinct such as Long Term Vision and Plan (LTVP) projects. The position is also responsible to research, analyze and anticipate future client needs, and to conceive and develop innovative ideas and initiatives to address current and future requirements.

The Manager, Major LTVP Project Planning and Delivery is responsible for managing a team of Senior Project Officer and Project officer positions and oversight, guidance and direction over the work of various Project Advisor positions to ensure the integration of all LTVP Projects. The position also directs and leads the work of a wide range of consultants across various disciplines (e.g. engineering; architecture; interior design; etc.) for the delivery and the implementation of the Senate's most complex accommodation projects.

**Prerequisites**:

- University degree in a related field or an acceptable combination of relevant education, training and experience;
- Minimum of seven (7) years' relevant experience, including at least two (2) years of recent experience as a manager planning and overseeing significant accommodation and construction/renovation projects;
- Extensive experience in project life-cycle management for new construction and accommodation projects including project scope, budget and timelines management, delivery and evaluation;
- Experience providing advice, briefings and recommendations to senior executives, and delivering formal presentations to executives on the complex planning and development issues related to major projects;
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams of internal and external experts, such as architects, interior designers, accommodation specialists, as well as consultants to ensure construction and renovation projects are delivered in accordance with the requirements and within the project timelines;
- Ability to develop and maintain national networks related to projects, and establishing strategic partnerships as well as communication links on behalf of a Directorate;
- Ability to negotiate and to resolve sensitive issues;
- Experience working with a Canadian parliamentary institution considered a strong asset.
