This will be a full RTE facility with 5 new product categories.
**The Role**:
Agrocrop is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager with a growth mindset. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will be responsible for he daily end-to-end management of their team's, performance objectives and physical assets. Leading by example, the warehouse manager engages at all levels in the business, to manage and motivate the team by giving direction and leadership, monitoring performance to ensure the facility achieves high performance levels for the purpose of ensuring the provision of an effective and efficient quality service to our customers.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Working with a newly created team within a high growth organization and category. Very fast paced environment with exposure to several products.
- Create an engaged workforce by effectively leading and managing team including scheduling, attendance and performance management and ensuring safety standards are adhered to.
- Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the staff.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees.
- Managing inventory, which includes maintaining accurate records, conducting cycle counts, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and decrease costs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with quality standards.
- Manage and resolve any warehouse-related issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining positive employee relations.
- Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, inventory levels, and shipping/receiving accuracy, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Work together with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to effectively manage and prioritize incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct daily walks through the warehouse to identify areas of concern i.e. Pallets safely stored, approved pallets used, reconciliation of pallets, accountable for pallet quality and, returns and expense. Goods staging accuracy, return to warehouse, damages etc.
- Collaborate with excellence within the Warehouse team and with cross functional stakeholders to deliver and/or exceed customer expectations. This will include partnering with other department supervisors, to ensure smooth shift transition, ensuring new trial initiatives evading the process of new trails from an execution process partnering with the Projects Team to support trials and launches, and supporting inventory counts as required.
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly priorities are communicated to key stakeholders including direct reports, warehouse team, manager and cross-functional teams.
- Follow, and create as required, SOPs to improve achievement of performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with Warehouse and GMP procedures including ensuring the proper storage of all raw ingredients, including allergens. Ensure allergens are properly labelled and stored away from non-allergens.
- Identity and communicate opportunities for process improvements. This will include leading projects.
- Track performance and productivity data. Coach team to ensure measures are met.
- Manage accurate inventory count.
- Aid warehouse team members when necessary to store large incoming shipments.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment. Applicant with 5+ years’ experience in a food manufacturing plant is preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocols.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Preferred Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, Counterbalance, Reach Truck or pallet jacks, and obtain necessary certifications if required. Will be considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible and longer hours when needed, including evenings and weekends, as required by operational needs.
- Strong leadership, organizational skills and attention to detail required.
