**CE Clinical and Field Placement Support Officer**

Reporting to Continuing Education Program Managers, Health and Community Service and Supports, the incumbent is the main point of contact to support Continuing Education (CE) clinical and field placement process for the assigned programs in CE. Collaborating closely with the CE academic portfolios, program areas and community partners, the incumbent oversees the alignment of the clinical and field placement experience with the CE academic areas.

The incumbent provides administrative support and guidance to faculty, students, and employers related to clinical and field placements within the academic school. The incumbent functions as a principal resource for students, faculty and employers to consult with and provide direction regarding field placements related college policies and procedures.

The incumbent is responsible for maintaining relationships with community stakeholders that ensures the continuance of existing field placement opportunities and elicits new field placement opportunities.

This involves developing and maintaining effective field placement processes and procedures for all programs that the incumbent supports.

**Responsibilities**:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
**Canvas and Secure Student Clinical/Field Placement Opportunities**
- ** **Establishes contact lists of potential placement employers for Continuing Education programs that have clinical/field placements
- Actively job develops to create placement opportunities for students
- Contacts employers to confirm specific requirements and availability for student placements
- Meets regularly with faculty throughout the canvasing process
- Input student clinical placement requests and monitor responses using HSPnet
- Screens student resumes ensuring requirements are met for employers
- Tracks student interview progress and placement offers
- Coordinates placement selection process between employers and students
- Confirms all dates relevant to placement with the student and employer
- Prepares and sends employer and student placement confirmation letters

**Support and Track Student Clinical/Field Placements**
- Liaise with college departments and student to confirm that all required pre-requisite courses and pre-placement requirements prior to attending any placement opportunities are completed
- Ensure that all ‘onboarding’ has occurred for each student and provide assistance when required.
- Communicate placement details to the students and ensure they register into clinical course.
- Generates reports to track employer and students' progression throughout the clinical/field placement process, and shares any concerns with Program Managers
- Generates, sends, and tracks placement documentation, acting as a liaison between General Counsel and external employers to revise legal documentation and respond to insurance inquiries
- Assists students with experiential learning management system, troubleshooting technical errors and ensures students are completing all the required steps in the clinical/field placement process
- Ensures and tracks completion of student insurance forms, following up as required
- Compiles insurance statistics, as required for compliance reporting

**Clinical/Field Placement Administrative Support**
- Explore efficiencies within the field placement process in collaboration with the CE Program Managers
- Meets with internal clinical/field placement stakeholders to ensure all field placement forms and procedures are being followed
- Responsible for ensuring field placement webpages and online forms are up-to-date.
- Coordinates the development of new placement web pages in collaboration with Marketing and program areas
- Continually analyzes data and provides updates and recommendations to Program Managers, Program Specialists and other relevant collaborators and stakeholders regarding potential issues, such as a shortage of placement or miscommunication with students or employers.
- Maintain confidentiality of placement, agency, and student information and documents.
