**Operations Amusement Manager**

**Location: Dartmouth, NS**

In this role the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the Amusement Operations Division at Glow. You will lead of team of both novice and experienced Amusement staff at each job site as needed. You will be responsible for managing the coaching, training and development of your team while also managing labour and other expenses related to efficiency.

You will ensure that our Amusement inventory and necessary repairs are kept up with and managed according to demand and upcoming bookings. You will work closely with the Amusement Sales team to ensure accurate projections with respect to labour and required materials. You will also frequently meet with the Logistics team to properly plan the execution of many Amusement assignments at once to ensure both efficiency and accurate scheduling. In this position you must be flexible with the scope of the duties involved, as certain divisions of Glow often come together at different times of the year for larger projects.

Please note: Equipment may include (but not limited to) a wide variety of Inflatables including bounce castles/ rooms, water pool sports equipment, obstacles, rides, games, concessions and catering equipment, fun food machines, large trucks, generators, and more. Events take place locally, but also include out of town assignments requiring longer travel and overnight stays.

**Other responsibilities include**:

- Taking part in site surveys to understand the client’s vision if required
- Utilise your understanding Amusement setups, importance of arrangement and anticipation of crowding, accidents and other potential issues on site
- Responsible for directing and pulling and loading amusement related products into our vehicles along with your team.
- Work operationally with the team who will prepare, deliver, set up, execute and remove Amusement equipment and other event materials
- Must be flexible with working hours to accommodate amusement booking - **our biggest jobs take place on weekends.**:

- Complete required paperwork daily
- Communicate with clients onsite
- Demonstrate time management and produce or make recommendations for employee schedules when required
- Have the upmost commitment to safety with regards to both our staff and clients

Beyond your specific duties above, flexibility and teamwork are essential in this role, as in all other roles within the company. The corporate culture at Glow is very much a team approach at times, requiring that we all roll up our sleeves and dig in to get things done whenever necessary.

**What are we looking for?**
- Have preferably 2-5 years of experience in an amusement or an event setting involving children, large crowds or both.
- Have at least 1 year experience in people management.
- Someone who has a positive attitude and enthusiastic personality that you can use to motivate your team as well as manage that team through coaching, training, follow-up, accountability and progressive discipline
- Demonstrated experience with time management and employee scheduling
- Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to successfully engage all levels of the customer base
- Must be available to work flexible hours to accommodate event schedules
- Should have experience with inventory management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00-$29.00 per hour
