Coordinator, Systems and Records (Terrace)

Job description and duties

Duties: Reporting to the Registrar, this position will coordinate the daily operation of the Records Management Department and give substantial support to the Associate Registrar, Systems, Records and Advising by providing information to support the institutional planning and enrolment management and contribute to the development of a strong, efficient team and department. Duties will include:

- Develop and maintain expertise needed to ensure a high level of service
- Assist with the definition, planning and implementation of new systems and enhancements that are consistent with the goals and priorities of the Office of the Registrar
- Responsible for processing and verification of Tuition and Education Amounts Certificates (T2202A)
- Prepare internal and external accountability and reporting requirements as assigned by the Registrar, particularly those related to enrolments
- Coordinate and deliver training in support of business and systems changes
- Ensure compliance with data standards, requirements and security for student records
- Other related duties (of similar scope and complexity) as required

**Qualifications**:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar along with a minimum of five years of directly related work experience, including three years progressive experience within a post-secondary environment in Student Services or the Office of the Registrar using an integrated system.

Required skills and abilities include:

- Project management certification (PMP designation preferred) and experience in organizational change, business process review, preparation of training material and delivery
- Direct experience with integrated systems including business analysis, implementation, training and reporting
- Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the demonstrated ability to work independently or as a team, while managing multiple demands with varying deadlines
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, collaboration and negotiation skills
- Ability to function effectively across cultures, particularly with the Indigenous communities, is an asset
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion
