We are a group of upscale Japanese restaurants seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Manager to oversee the HR operations for our group of restaurants. As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a crucial role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. You will work closely with restaurant managers and staff to create a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth, engagement, and productivity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Manage the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and separation processes.
- Advise and support restaurant supervisors on HR-related matters, including employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to equal employment opportunity, wage and hour laws, and health and safety guidelines.
- Oversee payroll administration, benefits administration, and leave management processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure HR processes and practices are effective, efficient, and aligned with best practices.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, including employee recognition programs, employee surveys, and performance feedback mechanisms.
- Provide guidance and support in employee development and career progression, including training and succession planning.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR management, and proactively recommend improvements to HR policies and practices.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as an HR manager or in a similar HR leadership role, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with employees at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
- Familiarity with payroll and HRIS systems, as well as proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost integrity and discretion.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Professional certification such as CHRP or CHRL is preferred.

**Other Requirement**
- Travel to various restaurant locations
- Monday - Friday : 10AM - 6PM

**Salary**: From $70,000.00 per year
