Martha's Table Community Program is seeking a dedicated **Cook** to join our vibrant, small team. As a non-profit organization, we are deeply committed to supporting our local community by tackling food insecurity and promoting food recovery.

**Work Schedule: Regular**, weekday hours Monday to Friday. (8-4 or 10-6)
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support Lead Cook with overall responsibility for the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Ensure food donations received on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are sorted, stored, and utilized efficiently.
- Communicate with the Operations Manager on items to be distributed to our guests.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of fridges and freezers.
- Participate in the weekly menu planning meetings to create nutritious, quality meals.
- Provide task assignments and training to volunteers, ensuring the tasks are understood and completed satisfactorily.
- Coordinate the day-to-day cleaning of the kitchen, including the sides and beneath counters, stoves, hood filters, fridges, and inside drawers, any other areas as needed
- Promptly report any maintenance concerns to the Operations Manager.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a commercial cooking environment.
- Excellent organization and leadership skills.
- Passionate about reducing food waste and supporting the community.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
