**Job description**
**Essential duties and responsibilities**
1. Instrumentation Assembly:
- assemble and disassemble high-tech instrumentation according to engineering drawings and schematics.
- utilize standard shop tools, including power tools, crimpers, soldering stations, and test equipment.
- wire electrical cabinets, assemble multiconductor cables and assemble intricate circuit boards.
- proficient in using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment
2. Technical Proficiency:
- read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- create and edit drawings and documentation using engineering software such as solidworks and autocad.
3. Experience:
- possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating competence in instrumentation assembly.
4. Flexibility and Adaptability:
- handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changes in assembly processes.
5. Software Skills:
- proficient in office software, including word processor and spreadsheet.
6. Advantageous assets:
- experience in wiring electrical cabinets and assembling complex electronic instruments and circuit boards.
- ability to identify and resolve basic issues during the assembly process.
- critical thinking skills to troubleshoot problems and find effective solutions.
- ability to troubleshoot circuit to component level
7. Teamwork:
- collaborate effectively with other assembly technicians, engineers, and quality control personnel.
- conduct quality checks during and after assembly to identify and rectify any defects.
**Minimum Requirements**
- trade school graduate or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree is a plus.
- proficient in the use of various hand tools, power tools, and instrumentation testing equipment.
- familiarity with solidworks, autocad, and microsoft office suite.
- excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or with close supervision.
- Must be authorized to work in the Canada without needing sponsorship at time of hiring or in the future.
