Electrical Assembler

We have an opening for an Electrical Assembler at our Burlington, Ontario location. The Electrical Assembler position is accountable for assembling or modifying electrical or electronic equipment or products. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: routing, wiring, assembling and installing wires, electrical and electronic components in sheet metal products or panels, as well as main control switch panels, according to current standard wiring specifications, using required hand tools, and equipment.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions
- Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications
- Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly
- Cut wire using wire cutters
- Connect wiring to accessories such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, etc. using hand tools
- Perform spot checks on products and parts to ensure adherence to approved quality standards
- Notify supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions
- Maintain clean work areas
**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to work well with others, meet tight deadlines, and management of work schedule
- Operational knowledge of a variety of hand tools
- Effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities
- Ability to focus on safety and quality
- 1-3 years of related electrical assembly experience
- Prior electrical training/certification preferred
