We are looking for a Mental Health and Addictions Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join our team at The Jacob Puddister Memorial Foundation on a contractual basis to cover a one-year (potentially 16 months) maternity leave position.

Our charity provides mental health resources to youth in Newfoundland and Labrador. The counsellor chosen for this job would work 24-32 hours a week (three or four eight hour days) providing individual counselling to youth (ages 12-35) from our location at 65 Lemarchant Road. Counsellor will need to be able to do at least one evening shift (12pm-8pm) per week.

Qualifications and Educational Requirement:

- Masters degree from an accredited educational institution in Counselling Psychology or Social Work.
- Registration with CCPA + liability insurance.
- Experience working with youth (ages 12-35) an asset.
- A desire to work with youth ages 12-16 is a must for this position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Working knowledge of case management, case conferencing, treatment plan development, aftercare planning, client records management.
- Counselling qualifications and experience working in addictions.
- Must have a deep understanding of trauma-informed therapy and experience working with marginalized populations.
- Must possess superior facilitation, crisis intervention, counselling and inter-personal relationship skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a team.
- Must participate in on-site clinical supervision 1 hour/month.

**Job Type**: Contract (24-32 hours of work 3-4 days/week with 5 clients scheduled per day)

**Salary**: $35-$40/hour depending on counsellor experience.
