Right now, we are looking to hire a **Purchasing Agent**, based out of our **Brooks** **office.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Process orders from start to finish, following procedures and ensuring proper communication. Confirm delivery details, enter parts into the system, and keep data error-free.
- Conduct product research for pricing, availability, and sourcing. Track and communicate all backorders efficiently.
- Pick orders, assist in receiving to gain knowledge, and off-load freight as needed. Arrange loading and transport of materials.
- Pursue cost savings opportunities and follow inventory control procedures.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and field staff. Assist the shipping and receiving department.
- Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental practices. Attend Safety Meetings regularly.
**Qualifications Required**:
- Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Must be an effective listener with effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must be organized and have the ability to manage a variety of time sensitive tasks at one time.
- Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Participation in On Call Schedule
