Full Job Description
**Responsibilities**:
- Knowledge about private career college inspection and auditing
- Knowledge about administration: insurance, student contract, student complaint procedure and student record keeping
- Knowledge about accreditation and approval of programs for a private career college.
- Knowledge about Ontario government student loans and grants
- Meet the standard of Ministry of Colleges and Universities in all aspects
- Assist the teaching staff in the development, implementation, modification of curriculum
- Maintaining fully up-to-date knowledge about frequently changing government plans and processes by researching latest legislation changes relating to all programs administered and reviewing their implications for financial aid activities
- Be responsible for teacher training of partnered schools
- Possesses career track record for exceeding all targeted organizational and sales performance metrics
- Follows up with current and graduated student to confirm employment status and develops innovative strategies to overcome any obstacles they may face seeking jobs
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary vocational institution in the Province of Ontario related experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ related career college work experience, minimum 1 year of management, supervision and or leadership experiences.
- Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of virtual learning and program evaluation methods to develop performance measures and report on learning outcomes
- Experience in developing and delivering training content
**SKILLS**: Advanced computer skills including proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and Visio); Website development and CMS; graphics software; and PDF software (Adobe Acrobat Professional). Demonstrated experience working with databases and HRIS software; Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; strong administrative skills; and excellent web administration skills.
**OTHER**: Familiarity with Human Resources protocols and practices; knowledge and understanding of academic health and benefit plans. Good knowledge of Ministry-approved colleges employment policies and procedures and resources, in particular academic policies. Demonstrated customer service orientation; ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing; ability to take initiative and work independently; tact in dealing with difficult or sensitive situations; ability to set own work priorities based on an understanding of the priorities of the Human Resources Office, as well as those of the client departments; sound judgment when responding to questions on policy and/or procedures. Works cooperatively with others as part of a team. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to update and present creative, accurate, relevant, effective, and well-organized web materials. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and remain up to date in the area of website administration. Strong awareness and interest in the field of human resources.
