PURPOSE

The Painter/Maintenance is accountable to the Supervisor, Operations for performance a contract term to repaint the interior mall space. This is a contract position working 40 hours per week for 20 weeks. Shift schedule is 6:00PM - 2:00AM.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
- Moving ladders, paint cans, and other painting equipment
- Checking inventory, and requesting paint orders to the Supervisor, Operations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in painting
- Experience operating a Scissor Lift

- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Neat and tidy appearance of person and uniform
- Attention to detail

Additional Requirements
- Valid scissor lift ticket is an requirement
- Previous experience in a shopping center environment is an asset.
- Must be able to work at heights of up to twenty-five feet.
